I was only for fragnetics because we know the people involved.
However, based on my wallet size, it would seem that dh is the better deal, especially since there hasn't been any down-time for three months straight.
It's one of those times when I'm glad I'm a Log Clerk I guess. The only thing affecting me is that the water cooler in my office block has been turned off (order from my boss) until further notice. They'll probably shut down the toilets next... the shitheads (pun intended).

ORD, ORD. Have been losing my temper at work tho. Arh, stress.
Yes so we stick to them? ok. As for domain name, it means things like www.temporaryinanity.com, whereas ti.three-thirteen.com is a subdomian. geddit?

I take vitamins everyday anyway, I still have to go to work. I wear the mask during the "fever" report sick hours and gratefully take it off later. That's about all I can do. Stay around from crowds? Sure, if I have to... we still need a life.
She's been hacking like crazy? You must realise that in this weather, illnesses abound. Force her to see a doctor lah... and since the cough has been on for how long now, it's prob not Sars. Ah, the life of an intrepid reporter. Get Sars or get killed in a war? Decisions, decisions. Haha, the ST denies preventing all staff who covered SARS from entering the building.... haha.
Kai think's he's too smart for his own good. He's from raffles, he's a guy. He can go to hell for all I care, you know what I think of people from raffles anyway. Disgusting shits. <-- refers to the guys. I've had a great time with the girls, heh heh. The girl.
What I need to know is that if your moms will allow you all to go to watch a movie in a cinema filled with 1200 people on the 26th of April.
IN OTHER NEWS:
MG has helped us get $15 off our bill (monthly? not too sure), but most likely if we stick to the same plan. Can get discount if go lower plans anyway.
Price plan breakdown (don't tell anybody... I stole it off their passworded site, they're not released yet)
leggero piccolo medio grande
Disk Space (MB) 200 500 1200 3000
Bandwidth (GB) 10 20 30 50
POP Email Accounts 20 50 120 unlimited
Total Mail Space 40 125 300 450
Mailing List 5 20 50 100
Auto Responders 10 25 50 unlimited
Subdomains 20 40 240 unlimited
FTP accounts 2 5 12 30
SQL Databases 1 5 7 30
SQL Space 40 150 300 500
Domain(s) Allowed 1 3 5 10
Contract 1 year $71.00 $203.50 $429.00 $633.00
looking at it, we need at least 3 mySQL dbs (forum, my blog, and perhaps our blog) and more than 2 FTP accounts, 5 should be enough. 500mb sounds fine to me.... should we got for Piccolo? It's $67.80 per person, or about $5 a month. Sounds good? Or we can go for the medio or grande too. sorry if it's hard to read. looks ok if you edit it.
Medio:
$143 per person
$11.91 per month
Grande
$211 per person
$17.58 per month.
I've removed listings for 1 month, 3 month and half yearly contracts tho.
How goes?
I don't think Fragnetics can even offer us this cheap. They've renewed our domain already, no problems there.
Fragnetics Plans:
WebStandard 50 MB Webspace and E-Mail On Request $10 per month or $100 per year *
WebEnthusiast 100 MB Webspace and E-Mail On Request $20 per month or $200 per year *
WebProfessional 500 MB Webspace and E-Mail On Request $60 per month or $600 per year *
All Web-based plans come with the following:
FTP Access
E-Mail Support
PHP4 support
1 username@fragnetics.com E-Mail account OR
Unlimited E-mail mailboxes and aliases (for users with their own domains)
All E-Mail Accounts can be accessed through :
POP3
IMAP
WebMail and WAPMail (Trial) - https://mail.fragnetics.com/
Users who host their domains with us will also be entitled to :
Unlimited E-Mail Accounts in their Domain through MailAdmin.
Website Statistics through AWStats.
Domain Name Registration $25 (for your own .com/net/org address for 1 year)
Looking at that, even if they give us 50% discount, it's still 6 times more expensive for DH's Piccolo vs their webprofessional. And their server is slower. And we have to pay for domain registration?
sigh... I wish we could help our guys out, but what say you 2? You 2 can veto me. Choose a plan anyway.
MG wants to set up a webcomic appreciation club in NUS, all we have to do is to keep doing one, and we get free eca points for "conducting meetings online." hehheh.

yeah... it needs something else, but then again, some people visit sites JUST for their blog.
1) duty yesterday
2) sent 1 fever (and another with deep cut) patient to PLC med ctr.
3) he vomitted in the minibus
4) anyway just wore mask most of the time
5) just as I'm leaving (with my mask off) another patient with a fever happily waltzes in.
6) have to take train, work in MC... sure, I've no way to trace contact.. but who knows?
a) how come you seconday contact? cos of the HQMC work?
b) try to to read too much into illnesses, be concerned, but just treat it like you usually would.
i) more worried about my stupid understudies. One's just blur, another doesn't know how to save his ass even if it was, well, savable, and another looks like he's darn blur too. I'm worried, but then again, ORD!!!
Ah, am tired too, should stop staying on the internet so late.
lalalala... It's not that I'm feeling invincible or brash... it's just that... well, I just feel so... cordoned off somehow. Not a safe kind of isolation, but a... bubble. Ah, I dunno. It's been surreal. And fun. I like.
I also like Adaptation. It's a DAMN good movie... wow.

Somebody: What is your favorite murder weapon?
Jonathan Carroll: Language.
TEH KEWL.
-----------------------------
Somebody : What contemporary writers do you feel are doing exciting work?
Jonathan Carroll: I think the best answer to that is to give specific books I've liked a lot in recent times.
RITUALS by Cees Nooteboom, HARD BOILED WONDERLAND AND THE END OF THE WORLD by Haruki Murakami, anything by Steve Erickson or Bruce Wagner, EUREKA STREET by Robert McLiam Wilson, the novels of Frederick Buechner particularly the "Leo Bebb" trilogy, THE DISCOVERY OF HEAVEN by Harry Mulisch,Stephen King's upcoming BAG OF BONES, THE HAIR OF HAROLD ROUX by Thomas Williams, THE EXAMINED LIFE by Robert Nozick, ILLYWHACKER BY Peter Carey
Interestingly, I knew Neil Gaiman, who was then discovered to be great friends with Carroll... and there pops Murakami. Heh.

Yes, I am recommending her a shrink first chance I get.

http://www.iidb.org/vbb/showthread.php?threadid=46223 <---- this is the link above. Really. It's DAMN funny.
Here are the general almost finalised plans for world domination, and the trip to aussieland to boot.
1. Fly to cairns. Late June, early July, depending on the travel agent. 28 June morning/maybeafternoon NOT to be touched. Collect IC leh.
2. Did I say cairns? I meant brisbane.
3. Travel down to collongata (the red star, but NOT russia) and stay there. MOTHERLAND!!!!
4. Visit 1 world a day. <--- choose favourites for domination if you will.
5. On the 4/5th day, depending on what time we did arrive there, visit city area/beach/anywhere else for fun fun fun.
5.1 We can stay at brisbane for some time, considering accomadations might be free.
6. On the 5th/6th day, depending on the ticket by Virgin Blue, arrive at Cairns.
7. Great Barrier Reef, and stuff. 2 days at least?
8. 8th/9th day, fly back to Singapore or Brisbane>Singapore, depending on the travel agent.
8.1 If we go back to brisbane, it'll cost quite some more money.
8.2 But we might have to, just to check out from the timeshare apt. :/
9. MOTHERLAND!!!
Budget for anything from 1k to 1.2k at least....
try to find someone else to go? En? WWW? KS? Somebody rich?
WWL: Now, that's definately more feminine.
mistakes in my own view (wait, that didn't come out right)
mistakes i think you made:
1. Her eyes are not right. unless you want her to look like shannon doherty, which is a bad mistake in my books.
2. Either that, or her chin is not right.
3. Head a little big for skinny neck.
4. Pity the slightly small breasts. Has anybody mentioned you draw like a girl? Haha, just joking, only reminded me of tashigi doing big boobies, that's all.
5. Right hand pointer and middle finger. Align your fingers up to each other. Do the joints coincide like that? mine don't. You make it seem like the middle finger is longer due to the third bone thingy.
6. Leg posture is a *little* off. But it works. Esp if person is more hypermobile than the regular joanne.
7. FEET?????

Welcome to the Beachcomber International Resort dated 1998, with tacky curtains and all. It looked like that in 1996 (when I last went), but I'm sure it's changed by now.
Problem is, the max in one room is 6, so we're probably taking two, giving us approximately.... enough beds for everyone, loving couples or no.
Other problem is: You can only check in/out on weekends... I think. See here for more details.
Wailiong's itenary sounds good, though... 3 days in Cairns seems kinda long when we dunno what we're going to do. Then again, 2-3 days pass very quickly. =P No worries there.
Red Star is Beachcomber International Resort. SeaWorld is at Southport, the nearest of the three. Movieworld is about 20 km north of Surfers. Dreamworld is the furthest. Do the math.
I'm worried about ride height restrictions. How tall is Sam?

i'd say not bad.
in fact, the arm didn't bother me at first.. until you mentioned it.
what bugged me was the fact that his pecs look rather misshapened... I know that, yeah, your abs do crawl up to there, but your pectoral muscles to cover so me of it. this one looks like the pecs are spreading, and at the same time, a lack of depth for the pecs... which means he needs to do less bicep curls and more push ups.
the body language tells a lot. good. better than "hey! i'm sitting here doing nothing!" girl/lydia.
arm looks twisted, but otherwise i'd say you didn't do too bad with that shorty thing.

me teach YOU good english? That's like me teaching anybody good physics. Well, except for the "your" and "you're"s....
all you WANT to do is DRAW? "wry smile".
I really, if we have to, want to, if we can, just friggin end this story. At least there's some tail to the head. Tho I'm not sure how that's going to happen... except for the fact that we could call it chapter 1... and then never produce chapter 2. If so, perhaps end once the brother of James, (what's his name) is revealed to be a twin. For those who don't know. But yes, I bet it's like pulling teeth.
Looking at Pete's points:
1) YES. Wwl, you obviously don't care a shebang about the chars... and if so, it's little, if any, if so. Not that that's a bad thing, unless you happen to be an artist drawing a comic about those chars, of which then it's a rather not so good thing. But remember! the best is yet to be! so... well... it's like pulling teeth isn't it?
Also noting that the concept came... when? 3/4 years ago? That's quite long. And the story hasn't gone anywhere fast. In any case, pete's going to lose some of it... and all of us will lose our verve. to continue might be like pulling teeth.
Of course it's best if the 2 of you come up with chars both of you can more or less agree on. Trying to write for someone you don't care about can be like pulling teeth, Pete.
2) I don't mind this idea... but if you say it's a dying breed.... won't trying to garner fans be like pulling teeth?
Also. I remember LONG LONG ago: WWL: I don't wanna do a whole pic cos then my art will be scrutinised and I'm no good blah blah... what makes this any more viable now? Is it? Otherwise, trying to churn out a picture that CAN tell a thousand words would be like pulling teeth wouldn't it?
3) The thing is TI THOR AND CWM could stand alone cos the comic was what basically brought the 3 together... I'm not sure if anybody might be interested in our internal conversations or what not... but it might be worth a try. But i'd prefer to have something main above, and then our little blogging below. Would that be like pulling teeth?
4) Humour? I remember WWL being against humour somewhat... or at least one of us, sorry... in the sense that, yes, it is overdone all over the web. What was our rationale for doing something serious? There was one, some time ago. And I dislike the idea on basing it on ourselves. Also, humour, as much as it transcends mostly anything, has to be of the transcending type... if it's just funny to us... then to the rest, it's like we're pulling their teeth.
5) Coming up with too many ideas is kinda like pulling teeth isn't it?
--------------------
wwl: if bill waterson tried to keep Calvin the OLD STYLE all the time.... Calvin might not have been as interesting, as much as the strength was in the writing. You're allowed to let the characters evolve. Sure, there'll be some system shock when the readers see a somewhat different (but already rather bishi)_ben, or even worse, a bishi James' brother, but all in all, you'll feel more comfortable, and there's always growing pains involved. I mean, rome wasn't built in a day, in fact, it was built in more than a day. And it evolved. Like butterflies.
but yeah... concept and story impt... serious / comedy. I think one of your main irritations was the fact that it was down down depressing almost all the time? Something like a right mix of both? Cos i know SOS was serious, and sober... But i think you want it to have some sort of funny, and yet have repurcussions. Like butterfiles.
we could always try short stories, but remember that this story (sos) has increased in page length ever since my good old formatting problems... getting big and longer, like butterflies.
let's not draw ourselves... i somehow dislike that idea... and what if we look like butterflies?
and remember how you lost hair just by having to draw an "about us" pic... imagine doing that daily... it's like butterflies pulling teeth.
------------------
don't wanna be a downer here, just throwing a spanner in the works to try and shake things up for who knows what reason.
I'm gearing up for something, yeah, but it's kinda shelved for the moment until I learn how to do html. Properly. One day.
As for colouring... why don't you just touch your painter then? You seem to want to stay away from it badly.
*end of out of point*

Well, I don't know. We could do an experiment and re-do the whole comic again... but that's probably asking for too much.
The other plans I had in mind (that I thought of before)...
1. Wailiong does the concept. I realised one of the main problems with Sound of Silence was that WL wasn't exactly getting into the story, or the characters. Which is understandable. So I figure if WL had a vested interest in the characters, chances are he'd be more excited about a story involving them.
2. Original Plan Gamma: I do a short story, Wailiong does little illustrations based on story, Chong colours and does php stuff. I don't know how this can work out because ironically, I've realised that web-based fiction is a dying breed. I can try, though, but I don't want to start if it's not going to happen.
3. Three-thirteen.com becomes a shared blog. IE, this one. Essentially we're pooling our "fanbase" since I'm not detecting much linkage between TI and CWM/THoR for example. This way we've got more incentive to do up the anime reviews, the comics reviews and stuff... PLUS, three-thirteen.com will ALWAYS be updated. Question is: Do we trust each other to play around with main page? Or do we still leave the updating to Chong, who might not always be around, or free.
4. Original Plan Alpha: I'm almost certain this won't work... but we do humour strips. It always gets the largest fanbase, and if we base it on ourselves, we might even get sympathy. Haha. Why it won't work? Because then Wailiong will have to draw us over and over again.... oh the horror.
5. There is no 5. Muahahahaha.
