It's late, so I'll just make a coupla comments.

Firstly: I'm really sorry I haven't said much these past few days. Work's been really piling up... I haven't touched the Net for hours!

Wai: Yep, saw the kuroro pic. Not particularly blown away by it, although your legs have definitely improved. I love the depth it gives to the character. Also, thanks for making the THoR banner! Appreciate! TI banner looks good too! Really! I'm still using my sucky computer and I can read the TI! Dunno if that's a good thing or not, though.

Scripts: Yes, I'll do them tomorrow. It's the first free day I have this week.

Update fest: You really must stop putting yourself down. I think the one with you + background works really well. Perhaps put it up on MT forums for CGI? =P

Girl pic: Hot. 'Nuff said. If she's the Vamp Lyd, the LLFC is going to get a whole buncha new members!

I'll get the code for The Funny Papers tomorrow. Yep.

I did something about white space. mostly cheating stuff.

I checked out the ghostcatfiller and the morrowind thing... but one thing. do you think those guys have some sort of preset or plugin? need to get me hand on one of those. Anyway Machall's stuff is more parchment than sepia. Do note the colour scheme, sans the yellowisation, comes from some professionals who do sepia colouring for money or acclaim or something. Followed the steps. That's what I got. Not sepia. Actually, does sepia really have yellow or does that come to us cos we perceive the fadiness to have something to do with our very own yellowed "COLOUR PHOTOS"? Hmz. :/

Bring out the Grim Fandango! Dance your very life away!

Erm. do what the comic experts do. you should actually read wizard, (esp when I offer them to you) cos there's lotsa tips on drawing, storyboarding and general how to do stuff on drawing in the "Drawing board" section.

I have issues 88 onwards... wanna borrow 88-133? That's... 45 issues. I think. Math bad.

And the bottom line: Will do with the latest version, with a bit more tweaking. not must hope there. let's hope the flashback ends soon.

I hope to go into super duper colour soon! bwahahah!!!!

hmz... i know that bit about eye-white, but I just did whatever was convenient. do note that in the most recent page i did almost zero cell shading, or any shading for that matter... so the cheek thing... yeah, my bad. Will take note. Am staying away from cell shading as much as possible cos i'm not so good at figuring out all that light source thingy, and I realised I didn't need it that much cos the pics were already shaded.

so the next few pics? DIE... do you think you could shade them all? haha... then my job is simplified up the yin yang.

Hmz... as for the guy you drew? He needs feet. Draw feet. and his right hand is a little limp. I know it's some sort of stylistic pose, but it doesn't translate as well. How come all your pants tend to bag up at the knees so much?

Sepia... I need a proper sepia fader, that'll help tons. hmz... I think the brown I chose was too strong, but I think I can reduce it. I spent very little time while trying to rush the comics, so of course they suck, once again, will try a lighter colour. Texture? how do you add texture?

Posters... hmz... dunno leh. They actually cost money. And I got no space...

So... any other comments? I'll try to fiddle, and then it's up if there's no complains.

Without sounding too self-centered, we should not link to anyone who hasn't linked to us. At the most, we help support budding webcoics, like ELE, which is what Jeremy has done for us, although in a most obscure manner.

88*31 is like some sort of convention. You know the other banner size? the nice long ones? not going to fit on our page, nonono... 88*31 is the small ver everybody uses nowadays cos it's smaller, and well, i think it fits on our side bar. which is a nice convenience.

Marvel style... hmz... I'll think about it.

Organic? I think maybe too much organic is overkill, cos sometimes it can lead to excessive black space. But then again, this page WOULD be more organic IF.

The frames weren't so big. Sure I could shrink them, but then the detail is lost, and at any rate, we still have speech bubbles to fit in. And by following the actual plan, I'd have to really crop a lot of frames, and the page would be... what? 600x1300? I duno. Just very very long. Right now it's just 100 pixels below the longest, and it's basically what most are pages are sized. I'll see what I can do, but I think i'll stick to this layout, and move things to the next page.

Will also shrink the font, used the wrong size I believe.

And I know I can't follow pete's layout, for the fact that a singular bell wasn't drawn, but there is one in the pic right?... and you don't exactly follow pete's layout anyway. So now that you've given me your own script, this should be easier to work with. Cos otherwise, pete writes, you adapt, and I readapt. Kinda... loses something along the way.

Hmz.. If I do an off panel bubble, I could move the ben looking behind pic left. Then I have blank space on the right, cos... the next frame is the two of them walking side by side... and that won't really fit... will it? hmz... tell me how tell me how. I think I could shrink everything, but I still have that 600 pixel width max, no quarters given... length is freestyle, but also not too long is good.

will try to reduce black space.

any changes for the previous page? I still want to go back on it.

I realise, that after deltreeing windows, that I have lost all my fonts, and pizzadude is closed.

I'm using comics sans ms for some of the fonts, but no worries, will be changed back to digital strip soon. just need a reboot for that.

feel like not colouring this, cos the shading does carry it quite well... how goes the composition? layout? I realise that since we can split this page into 2 pages... why not? any comments on this?

It's not "basically a carbon copy". The final pic of Ben is too large, and obscures the lightning which I felt was crucial to depict the flashback.

In your original, there were also girl/lydia transition in the lightning. I thought that was important too. If it isn't too much work on your part, of course.

I agree with Wailiong... the coloured pic of the girl just seems weird... could you just blow up the girl on the pew? (and by that, I mean, enlarge... not decimate with explosives). Oh, yes, and how would a blonde girl remind him of Lydia? It would make more sense if the girl had dark hair, as in the tiny version.

But the flashback colours (or lack of it) are well done... should we make this a monochrome comic instead?!? *hahhah*

Nah, I'm nowhere as good. It's by something, namely, Jonathan Carroll. I just had to write that paragraph down. "God's Flashlight" is how he describes the light shining thru the clouds in the midst of a dark thunderstorm unto the ground below. "Sundays in the Sky" is the song written by a band called Vitamin D, also from the same book, just found the title really really cool and something I might write a little about, in November. some things then come after first which is second: if that's a thong on your face, it;s wrong, cos then the lower strap wouldn't actually be going directly under your chin, it has to be deflected around your neck. that is if you actually manage to put your head thru that leg hole first.

Unless you're using one of those side-clasp thongs, in which you'd still have a deflected bottom part thingy.

you need to study your thongs more.

Tattoo not for friend. Tattoo suggested by crazy dude who happened to walk by and see WL's stuff. bared his right wrist and pointed to it, mumbling something about WL tattooing him. I'd say he was drunk, except it was at 4 pm.

TONS faster =/= Efficient/Reliable. Fragnetics gets my vote when dh.com contract ends.

Not to say KS will become a wrestler... but seriously, why bring KS into the picture?

Oh, otherwise things are going swell, what with my gastric attacks just over to be replaced by diarrhoea, and of course nearly going deaf in one ear thanks to middle ear disease (best name they could give it, it was basically just an inflamed middle ear). Damn tower records and their faulty speakers that have to be pumped up to enjoy full stereo sound. Damn Tracks and Damn Lifehouse for being so loud. Damn Silverchair for being even louder. And the Vines. THE VINES!!!! Work is hell, what with the super increased patient load, the fact that I didn't even know what I was doing except catching my breathe, not being able to sneak out much to catch teh amazing race without saboing the rest, and the report and the fact that our new guy is going for BMT while i'm still stuck in physio hell cos we got the best IQA, which means that we'll prob get chosen for the EQA, which is a whole lotta crap I wish had come out of my ass.

Wow... that webring seems cool. Why not... heh. I second the motion... 313 seems to fit a lot of their genres, I realised...Action/Adventure, Fantasy, Horror/Darque, Super-heroes...

And if you realise, there's not much more a panelist can do besides rearrange the storyboard to make it look better.

I've got fan mail before, 3 I believe. One that compared me to Aluminium (i.e. my site is easier to navigate), one that said my videos were great (but I think they were referring to my guest vids, cos I got only 1) and one that said my English was friggin good (this one from the mindef forums concerning the latest installment of a walk thru war: the next step). feels goot!

Ah... the Ortega. Better than Ariel Ortega? But looks overly ornate, but still cool. Dirge could wield something like that.

I wouldn't be asking us to win awards if i wasn't confident in our ability.

Even tho having a white bg allows us to notice the crustacean better, I feel it's too much. So much white tends to offset the mood, cos it gives us an impression that he can run away. Either that or have just a little white, kinda like a small hole. Big enough for light and spider and not much else. Heighten the feeling of claustrophobia.

And we all hate tentacles!!!

Heh... Congrats on your first fan-mail, buddy... may it be the first of swarms.

Awards are good. All websites deserve awards, just like all artists deserve fans... okay, maybe not all (Rob Liefeld deserves a wrecking crew, for one; Erik Larsen another). But first, I think we should have at least some link to a voting booth, both for exposure, and well uh... okay, only for the exposure.

Wailiong: Gonna give you a list of things I envision in the comic. You strike off those you don't feel like drawing.

The List: blood. gore. bullets. shot man. surprised shot man. katana battle. spidey-like urban battle. swarm of vampires. lots and LOTS of dirge. (me want him to be poster boy of new generation!). lesbian-esque scene - no nudity of course. Lots and lots of powered-up Cynthia..... just for fun.... the only power Cynthia's going to display is the Emperor Palpatine's Lightning Hand, though she might have more... also, concept sketches for Queen of the Damned, i.e. super-mistress vampire bitch woman, and also Joshua's daughter.
