Holy crap! That drawing is freaking crap! I haven't seen crap like that except on posters.
Comments time:
Wow... you got Emi-chan's attention, and now you've got her as your personal CG artist?!? Ack. I shall die from jealousy now.

hi.
will ask for opinions, cos this will affect our site greatly. this guy i'm really not sure of, and cynthia... troubles me. how do i edit her? do I add the new floaty her? i think no, won't fit the quote...
gah.
see you guys around.

WWL!: I need a Dirge pic, NON SKETCHY version... you have one already, but you didn't post it up...

Pete: to avoid other commitments coming in between or anything, try to finish the story as much as possible at one go. maybe it's difficult, so, well, there's no real hurry. however, once we try to get more... constant, there'll be a prob.
I agree about the KS only insp being En. To be caught and never be allowed to be let go... falling out of reach.... defying gravity... is she out there, somewhere out there?
wait a little more for a dirge pic. I finally freed up 4.8gb. enought space for a real buffer.
I like nonsense pic... hahahahah.... is that... joshua weed? maybe... he can be some abberation of nature's beauty due to cross' vengence. Cynthia is fantastic!!! who says she can't float? i bet if you keep drawing things, pete can keep adding plots, or somehow I see him doing that. not an extremely good thing tho.
strange candy, cute, but suffers a little from "mangaartistbeginnerangledface" syndrome. face is more \_/ than \/. oh well. i'm no expert. but it's quite funny. but too much homage to the Nod that is Megatokyo. MT is great, but let's try to stand on our own.
don't find them that cute tho... amuse me cuter.

The comic works even for me, but does every anime webcomic have to include a megatokyo tribute?

Comic is on... I just have other commitments right now... sorry about that.
KS' pic isn't the best I've seen, and the fact that his only creative inspiration happens to be En Ling is really REALLY sad. But don't tell him I said that. The only reason why he's getting more replies from that pic is because people have many things to C&C about. Nothing to be envious of, WL... you never did need to go through that stage.
Yeah... Weed kills slowly, but at least it keeps you alive long after your skull's been blown away by a 7.62mm sniper round.
Cynthia pic good too... nice to see her in something else other than that one pose.

Pete: Erm... you should decide soon, in case wwl has to decided whether the girl is "fully featured" or "ghostlike/shady" if you get my drift, that way it's easier to know it's a figment of imagination, or not.
WWL: Hmz. I'd have to say this about KS's first fully featured work that i've actually seen. First things first, now she really looks like something out of attack of the coneheads. Hair that thick either belongs in X-japan (not to sully their name) or does not belong at all. And he makes the same hair over eyes and vice versa mistake. Bad idea. Bad bad bad fringe. Very bad. When trying to do something that's more realistic than your usual work, yet wanting to do your usual work at the same time... And with the top hair so thick, and yet the sides so thin... gah. gah. gah.
Ks' Pic
Otherwise, I too have to say, not a bad job all in all. There's still a lot to be learnt about the female anatomy, and anatomy in general tho. Cos she actually looks VERY flat. Maybe that's what all the girls around him look like, I dunno. The cross is ok, cos it doesn't have to lean down. It may have caught onto the skin or any of the pores or microhairs, and kinda stayed there while the girl whirled around just to spit those words at KS.
At any rate, the people who c+c... they aren't the big ones are they? they're the smaller fries... then again, it all adds up.
Violence is good. It keeps me grounded.
Hope you guys enjoyed your comics (what there was of it.) Spidey Daredevil is friggin good, you guys want some? It's a one-shot, otherwise issue 2 is a totally diff story.
I've been slacking. Playing NWN, watching the entire first disk of KareKano, and d/l anime the whole day till my com keeled over. It's not a good thing. Back to work!

I haven't decided if the girl is real or not... it could be a figment of his imagination... I'll have to see how my story goes.

so... right now the church isn't empty cos there's a girl who's praying there?
As long as the art doesn't conjure up images of a little match girl, it should be all fine.
Eh.. I prefered the non inked part when her fringe fell over her face... innocent, but with that raw, reckless edge. The one over the eye kinda makes it look like a tattoo actually. I know it's difficult when drawing hair over the eye whether to make it tranparent, or draw it. Think the ends are good tho.
One more thing. I was talking to pete while I was kinda bored out during the 7th month dinner, but at least then I had some time to ponder, think, reflect, and feel bored.
The gist of the conversation goes like this: We've all come to a general consenseus that this current story (arc) is in a sense, finite. After which, we may stick to the same "world" or move on to new ones like some steampunk cum mecha genre mix etc. that's just an eg. Anyway, what I had in mind was that we name each "world", so that when the viewers see the first page, they know what characters to expect, kinda.
That's not to say that the worlds wont interact. they may, or may not. Daredevil meets spidey once in a while, but even if DD makes an appearence in Spidey's ish, it may not be a big thing, maybe he's just walking by. Then again, I haven't actually seen Peter Porker or Paste Pot Pete meet up with X-51, if you get my drift.
So... in a sense, it kinda lineates the different worlds, but it's a dotted line. That's why I had the idea for a "name". Now pete says that they can just refer to the character sheets for the characters that feature, instead of having names, so we can just draw cast members out of a hat. Works too.
That's the gist of it.

Heh... it's amazing what inking can do... now Lydia doesn't look anything like the girl I modelled her after... phew!
Great job of it all, Wai... and now to answer question...
I think denial is the first emotion... and then grief. So yes, you got it right. I was also picturing the juxtaposition of a serene church against a definitely not-serene Ben Howls.
And the few saving graces of the sojournal are that: He accepts the Nicene creed, and he has a Patlabor 3 review! Woooot!

The only feelings I'm worried about here are yours, because I tend to have a rather thick skin... heh.
Okay, essentially, story skeletal plot:
(prestory: Ben is a werewolf. And only one person knows... an old homeless man.)
-Old man tells Ben that powers come with responsibilities. Honour dictates that his powers (as a fledging werewolf) should be used for protecting them.
-Ben is asked to protect some squatters (the old man's family and friends) from a marauding gang. (Fallout 2, anyone?)
-He gives some crappy excuse to Lyd (the whole: can't reveal my identity to the one I care about crap), and goes off to fight the gang himself.
-Lydia follows him, worried (Ben's a lousy liar). She sees him go Glabro, and realises something ain't right about her man.
-Ben is doubly distracted... one, by Lydia's presence (he smells her scent); two, by the fact that this gang isn't all human... (Buffy, anyone?)
-A vamp gets a lucky scrape on his arm, but gets a broken neck in return. However, two goons have already grabbed Lydia.
-The vamps leave, dragging Lydia with them. Ben brings the squatters to a safehouse, and leaves them there, but the agony of losing Lydia is too much.
(comic begins here)
-Ben runs away, stopping at the church, and something prompts him to go in. He screams in wrathful remorse (or remorseful wrath?) and attracts the attention of a young girl...
-Girl's appearance prompts him to think about Lydia... and thus the flashback continues...
Hopefully this is enough back story...?

Hey... that's so cool.... heh...
Okay... pre-story synopsis:
Where was the honour in allowing the one you love to be forced away from you against her will? Where was the honour in sacrificing her for the sake of the "greater good"? I should never have allowed the old man to con me into doing his dirty work for him.
It wasn't meant to happen, but it did. I let myself get careless, and I allowed her to get hurt. Damn, I allowed her to get hurt. And all because the old man told me to do what was honourable.
Damn honour.
She tried to tell me to go, to ignore her. She always put the welfare of others before herself. What was I even thinking, allowing her to follow me that night? It was her idea, and knowing of the danger, she insisted all the more. But was it worth her life?
I saw her leave with them, quietly. Saw her courageously accept her fate, one that would mean certain death. And as she looked at me for the last time, I saw her eyes plead for her life. Me? I ran.
Damn honour.
Even when they stopped chasing me, I still ran. Even when it started to pour, I didn't stop running till I ran out of breath.
Hope that clears things up. If it doesn't... tell me.

hmz. checked it out. good stuff!
however, by the time to write "we see ben's eyes prob for the first time"
before that was "ben's eyes, wrathful... blah blah"
continuity error?
so... ben became a werewolf on his own accord? this being a "joint" venture, perhaps you could key us in on the general direction/history of his char? that way it may be simpler to write/draw/do nothing.
did you check out the cynthia pic? hopefully it's not too messy. this is the one i'm not too happy about at all. shucks.
OMF... shucks. Need to play it again. Suspense... suspense....

Second part done. Check it out here.
Summary... will come later.
The brilliant thing about Ben (even if I do say so myself), is that he's neither Hulk nor Banner, because his life and his fate isn't an accident, but a fufilment of...? He's not mute. His despair just prevents him from saying things. Plus, it's easy to show people the throat scar and pretend to be mute.
The quotes work fine... in fact, it already sets the mood for the characters.
Cynthia... well, we'll see how she turns out. Irredeemable? I don't understand.
As for OMF, lets just say Ariel and Angel were not of human stock.
We'll leave the Fantasy football for later... when Monday approaches.

hmz... i don't think wai would take an offense... right?
I actually used vigilante, preacher, scum.. but I guess hunter works fine too. I thought vigilante would be good cos he does think that he's "fighting" on the side or good, but whether or not the ends justify the means is something the punisher (and garth ennis) would say yes too blah blah blah I'm going on and on lahlalalala....
*ahem*
ok... wwl: he's reminiscing. so... pete, I would guess that the damn that he's saying is a bitter one? even tho he is shouting?
what I want to know is... is ben a creature of raging violence or cold fury? is he a bitter man, or is he angsty? there are subtle differences. even in the way they'll say Damn. Like... is he Banner, fighting the beast within, or Hulk, unleashing the beast without?
And.... why is he saying damn/honour? I thought he was mute... or nearly mute. or something. some really quiet brooding guy.
and as for the rest of the characters, the reason I chose the quotes for them was cos that's what I felt their char was... so far.. I guess no changes needed right? And Cynthia will still be the bitch who loves women and.. stuff. hopefully there aren't too many irredeemable characters in this comic. And please refresh me on OMF?
pardon me if I keep shooting questions, as usual, you all can take the route you all've been taking, which is ignoring most of the silly ones. But once the web is more or less done... I'll be more free.
the only manu/chelsea player i'm using is JFH... wonder if that'll be a mistake. sigh... my whole midfield costs less than 20mil, and I'm using 352.
ok... cynthia coming up.
pete, perhaps you'd like to try and flesh out as much of the story as possible at one go, perhaps not all on this blog, but somewher... and maybe post a nice summary here, so wwl can plan ahead.

Main page looks good. As always. No offence, Wai, but it IS more appropriate to put a webcomic related pic rather than your guy. Good thinking, Alvin.
I saw your description for the characters before you changed them, Chong, so I hope you dont' mind me using the Preacher, Hunter, Scum line for Josh. Good idea there. Never thought of it myself.
Okay... quick recap. Ben ran aimlessly, and stopped at the church (cathedral?) for some unknown reason. That's why he's panting, that's why he's tired. He won't see Lydia, but he will see something that reminds him of her. He's kicking himself due to the memory of being too late, if that makes sense.
I'm using a Man U/Chelsea team this week. Will change it as and when next week.
Yes, we are using Cynthia. I'm not sure how, but I think I have an idea. If you remember OMF 2097, think Ariel and Angel.
Second part of story coming up soon.

character site and story site set up.... do you want me to use what you wrote on the blog right below this one?
wwl is unsure whether he's running to the cathedral or walking there and reminsicing. When he arrives there, does he expect to see lydia long? so when he says.. DAMN!!! Is he kicking himself due to the memories, or kicking himself due to his being too late?
what's your team for yahoo fantasy soccer?
oh? and we're actually using cynthia? ok.. got new preview pic coming right at ya!
eh heh... that's about it. At any rate I'll use your info below for the chars page first.

Erm... okay... since you asked me to turn up so nicely... lets do this one by one.
Ben Howls-In-Silence. Scarred, physically and emotionally, Ben traverses this world half-heartedly, bemoaning his cruel lot in life. Until he discovers a higher purpose to the events in his life...
Joshua Cross. Preacher. Hunter. Scum. It doesn't matter what you call him. His only focus, his one mission: to be Apollyon, the supernatural destroyer. But should he become the very evil he's sworn to eradicate...
Lydia Long. All her life, she's wanted to be different. At first those around her believed it to be a childish dream, a temporary fantasy, something that she would grow out of. Little do they know...
Dirge Vain-Glory. Pride and arrogance don't do justice when describing him. He's cocky, belligerent, aggressive, overbearing. Then, in a twist of fate, his pawns subjugate him, and he's surprised to realise he likes it...
Cynthia. She knows she doesn't belong here. She can't figure out why. She's named after the moon, so the wierdos she meets call her a lunatic in return. Then she meets the REAL "Luna"-tics....
Interesting how Wailiong's depicted a rather modern Church building, as opposed to the gothic structure I was visualising... all part of interpretation which does wonders for such a dynamic story. And believe me, I am NOT just saying this just because you spent a lot of time on the church. In all gratitude and sincerity, thank you both for your effort in this project. (Funny how even the most heartfelt of words from a GEP can sound extremely cynical.) On that same logic, I would really appreciate it if you kept the larger pic (yes, kinky roof and all...). I'm guessing your shading skills will do wonders for it. Of course, if you insist on "cheating", as you so modestly put it, then it's fine. But as a favour for me, I prefer the large church pic.

WWL: just wondering, have you gotten hadler's rule yet?
looks like it. what's the cheating bit? at any rate, the top of the second frame, the cathedral roof looks a lttle off, otherwise the rest look fine.
Dirge... I dunno. what does pete say? Well, you can still use one of the old Josh Cross pics... Pete. Comments?
So... is rude girl in, OR NOT?
Did mention that maybe you wanna try having some pic in the top frame of page 2 instead of just rain... cos on the first page people already know that there's rain... Can't really notice much difference in the different pics, orther than the fact that one looks darker than the other... maybe it's my untrained eye, but all in all, since you've already reduced the radius of the eye of the storm around ben, it's looking fine... so you gonna colour them all?
as said, hair don't stand in the rain... but oh well... And I realised that you removed your original page 2.
I don't mind doing lettering, as said, as long as you all pass me the confirmed finished product... all in all, you're the artist, once you're ready i can take over if you want me to.
Oh, and it's Rey Mysterio, and I didn't realise, but he's actually FRIGGIN SHORT!!! Kurt Angle isn't exactly very tall... then Rey is like... lower than his shoulders... he's like mini-dust or something.
Finally realised that pete did post something. Sorry pete! Erm.. no offense taken, but you must realise that it's true... it's a digital art showcase, so art should be the focus. So.... Ben is all angsty? And maybe you wanna describe your storyboard more so that you can guide wwl, as and when he is bereft of ideas for a certain page. i'm sure that if he's feeling all creative, there's no need, but it always help to have a kick start in the ass... unless you don't want one?
I had trouble loading the page and all it's graphics recently... but I managed to do so now. Continue to good work. I'll start working on the page.... about now.

Erm... cool. Will have to see how it turns out in its totality. Too much rain on every panel does seem a little heavy (pun not intended).
posted by Petey at 8/13/2002 04:23:00 PM
Dude, instead of praising your art, I will instead slag you and find fault as much as I can.
Hair doesn't stand UP in rain. It erms... falls downwards. It only spikes upwards, and for short moments, when you run your hands thru your hair, and at any rate, in such heavy rain, the hair will fall back down. And erm... raindrops tend not to curl, but fall straight down.
And that's about it.
The coloured one is fine as it is, and we can fer sure use it as a cover page. remember, once you begin to stay in, you'll have LOTS less time to colour. the time to decide, is now. Colour always helps to enhance the mood, buy you may or may not want to do with it, looking at your time.
as for rain, your's works fine already! I have a little plugin (not sure if for photoshop or premiere, can' test as hdd space has reached 700mb) which renders rain, quite nicely if I recall... but your's works perfectly fine.
I prefer colour personally.
I know what you mean about the rain... i'll find out, one day, if my plugin does top down rain. I was thinking about that too.
pete: so... you can start fleshing out the storyline, and then fleshing out the text for comics... don't have to go too fast of course, but make sure our story works, and that's that... As said, wanted to create character profiles that "fans" can roleplay using whitewolf, or even create the sims or NWN or what have you characters for playing... who knows? That comes later, of course. But wanna start on char profiles asap, will do them by friday, tomorrow duty, friday, sat off. Have a street soccer touney tomorrow, hopefully my hands work after that, playing goalie.
Other than that... keep the steam building up, it's time to switch to at least second gear... keep it up! dreams reaching fruition!! And contract expires next year, either april, may or june, depending if they give us free months.

Damn. Knew I should have saved. There's goes four pages...
But it's okay. Let's start again. Savin' more often, this time.
Long story short. I want Wailiong's art to be the draw of the story. In my opinion, it's the best work between us three--no offence, Alvin, but I'm guessing you agree with me too.
So we're in agreement. "Less Words pertinent". Not that this will be easier for a rambler like me, but I love a challenge.
So without further ado, let's get this on the road. BTW, I wanted to use the Dark Horse Writer Guidelines, but it no make sense when the creative team can meet as regularly as we want.
Okay, using Wailiong's storyboard sketches:
Panel 1: (Ben side-view. Face obscured by wet, dripping hair. rain.)
Caption:
Lying in my sweat drying my tears,
Waiting for you...I am...
Making me feel like I don't care
I don't care!
-Situation, Godsmack
Panel 2: (Rain falling down. perspective ground-up.)
Caption:
It feels wrong. Conscience pricking me. Instinct serves me a little too well. Why should doing the "good work" of a revered leader make me feel like a sinner?
Panel 3: (Ben spits a word out. Only mouth-area shown.)
BEN:
Honour.
Panel 4: (Aerial view of church. should be able to tell that Ben is before it. If not, will include it in text.)
Caption:
The code of integrity. The whole load of BS the elders spoke of. Damn them. Damn all of this. Damn the powers of my people. Damn the principles, the obligations, the demands. Damn the cruel course of fate that led me here.
Panel 5: (Ben enters the church, but stops at the front door. He looks REALLY angry.)
Panel 6: (Focus on Ben's wrathful eyes. Think Hulk.)
Caption:
"With great power comes great responsibility."
Panel 7: (Glabro Ben screams at the top of his voice. The church is empty.)
BEN:
"DAMN!"

Panel 8: (I dunno. I'll leave this panel to one of you.)

Here's one idea. WWL remember the makeshift miracle? Something like that.
http://makeshiftmiracle.comics2u.com/
It tells the story in very little bits at a go... so what happens now is that the reader has to pay more attention, yes, but the writer/artist can exercise more economy. I'm not asking for frame style...
but maybe the first pic can go like this:
Zoom close, side profile. Ben Howls. Hair dripping wet, water falling around. Surroundings indeteminate, but light source from somewhere, it is night.
Ben Howls looks downcast.
text:
smaller text:
Lying in my sweat drying my tears,
Waiting for you...I am...
Making me feel like I don't care
I don't care!
-Situation, Godsmack
Larger Text:
Three-Thirteen Chapter 1.
World of Darkness (or other interesting chapter title.)
There! We now have our first page, it shouldn't be toooooo hard to draw, and the text is simple. next up is the second page.
Zoom out a little, reveal Ben Howl's sorroundings. Chapel in the background, looking a little grand, if not very, and goth, with very nice stairs upwards towards the main floor right behind ben (he's occluding some of it). Ben Howls stands in the rain, half body view, hands in pockets, side view. His head is now titled upwards towards the heavens, rain falls on his head.
Text:
The stairway to heaven has two paths, or so the song goes. I believe I'm on the right path, but then why do I feel so lost? If everything I do goes against my conscience, how can it all be for the greater good? If a most respected and revered leader tells you to be selfless, and forthcoming, why does it still feel so wrong?
Page 3.
Top view, cathedral, and just ben, with a lamp post. maybe some inderteminate passersby, or a car. Rain.
Text:
(lage) Honour.(perhaps this one is speech bubble?)
The elders impressed on us many facets of their wisdom, as was their duty. These revolved around one main ideal: that guarding the defenceless was a task to be embraced willingly, not shunned. For having been gifted with powers above any mortal, it was only right that we use said power responsibly, as expected of our people. Peter Parker isn't the only one with that particular mantra, all of us "super-heroes" have it.
you get the drift? Of course, frame by frame one at a time it's less likely to flow... but if you guys want it that way, remember that too much text is a BAD thing.

If a picture paints a thousand words... what do markers and outlines do? Seriously, Big pic and text here and there will save easiness on the web page layout, but will be "harder" to format on the basis of the drawer (unless the drawer and writer shoots things at me.. then... I retire.). Otherwise, if it's text text pic text, then I'd need to know more or less a basic layout, otherwise it'll be lots harder to code the php. and preplan things, basically.
so...
pic with text in it (comic style) is easier to code php, the other is not, but the other is lots easier to actually do for you guys I guess. Unless wwl plans to make sure what he draws has some token space for text...
then in that case, the text HAS to be short and sweet and simple, and pack a punch. Not always, but try to.
Comic style is the easiest for all, with nice frames, and then the story can be "more easily" pushed with those text bubbles. But it's harder on wwl I guess. Then again, you must realise that with a single pic and text, if the pic is not strong enough, there's nothing else other than the text to pull it up, and if the text is crap, the pic cannot be. Get my drift? In frames style at least some frames can... well... shoulder more responsiblity.
Basically... wwl is really finding his style, so that's good, but there's still some way to go in terms of background as he's said, but it';s not that far away. Pete's been writing a bit, but not much, but I guess he's already done a first para, so that's fine...
where on earth am I going?
it sounded out nicely in my head. oh well. Hope you get my drift. questions? hope i didn't kill the turkey.
and strangely enough, i won't even be able to draw the action stance. kill me, artists of the world.

Hi guys. Been busy playing Fallout 2. It is one way of getting a little inspiration, despite what my conscience tells me. Never did go catch The Planets (btw, they're the UK's latest classical-pop sensation a la Bond and Vanessa-Mae), too lazy to lug my ass all the way to Botanic Gardens + there wasn't anyone else going. Would have joined you guys, but too lazy to lug my ass over to Bishan... sorrie.
Well, first things first. Wailiong, Ben looks great. Yeah, the Glabro looks like it was commissioned by White Wolf, and that action pic with Cross is really cool... demands a good storyline from me. Hope to see them inked when you can.
Our website is overdue, yes, but fortunately, it appears that not many know of our "official opening" in the first place, so no harm done.
I vote for comic-like effect for story... this way I can cut down on words... heh. Plus, since Wailiong's effort demands and deserves so much more attention, it ought to be the focus. Trust Wailiong to think otherwise.
And as for the uh.."action pose", I'm in agreeance (sp?) with you there. That is Uber-Crap. Looks like something I would draw... then again, I'd probably get the face screwed up too.
Vengeance was good (at least, the two matches I caught before my mother forced me to switch off the television), and the Arsenal-Liverpool game sucked (at least, the first half). Expect a rant soon. Heh.

oh, and i was wondering, how would you all like the format of the ILLUSTRATED novel to be?
-------

pic
-------
text
or
------------
pic text
depending
on design
------------
which means the text will appear on the image, kinda like a comic, and what i'm doing for the previews.
today also not productive cos I spend 2.5 hrs watching the LOTR dvd, then falling asleep cos i'm really tooooooo friggin tired. My eyes feel like they have emotional baggage.

Planets? That one by that composer? Volst or Vorbst or Holst or something?
I NEED THEM INKED. NOW. THERE IS NO TIME FOR DELAY.
meaning: Please ink them, i want to see them ink desperatly. ooh! inkiness!
meaning: This rocks my socks! Ink them man!
meaning: Is that perspective I see? It's simple perspective, but it works to set a mood. All it needs is proper lighting.
meaning: Isn't the head a little big on the first pic? Just a twitch, not that much. And now it's Ben Hulks-in-Silence thanks to the impressive goodness of Hydroxycut! Oh, just saying that cos I thought he was more of a Bruce Lee then a Lou Feringou. Cross is a hulk tho.
meaning: nice puch! Rock'em sock'em fighting robots!
you should have more weekends like this. tell your boss.
meaning: I'm cleaning up the code for the webbie and my already short short weekend isn't helping... ah heck.
meaning: Not much changes, but should load faster.
meaning: Please save me! It's overdue!
Oh well. Time to go back to work tomolo, and hope that what I wrote for the story works. Shite. I feel bad.

Try this... if it doesn't load properly, try view from source. I'm too lazy to type it out properly.
Oh wait.
<img src="/cgi-sys/Count.cgi?df=three-th.dat|display=Counter|ft=6|md=5|frgb=100;139;216|dd=A">
Hope this works.
Pootie boo!
And go watch Austin Powers, I enjoyed it both times! I got stuff back from nav, yes.
And as for the bot... he's not my type, otherwise tres kul. I prefer the more organic style ala eva.
Pete... QUIET? Why?

hmz... decided to stick to original post...
and if you don't have a password for the forums, you can still view the forums right? just cannot post that's all.
Lydia's quote will stay. but how about kick ass girl? AND WHAT'S HER NAME??? Dirge?
So Cross will stay... I don't know all that quotes, but I do my searching, and my research too. I remember creed rocks hard, but has a very Christian bent. And they had this song called Bullets, which I didn't use cos it didn't really work. Then I saw "other songs by creed" and came across Freedom Fighter, which worked. Never even heard the song before.
Erm... both lyrics from same band, Placebo. Second song is called Pure Morning. I just recalled it one day in the bus where I do my best thinking.

Personally, I like Lydia's font and quote. But that's just subjective ol' me.

Creed - Freedom Fighter
previously it was
Ben Howls
Radiohead - Creep
Then it's Lydia
Placebo - Every Me Every You
as for her GF, i'm actually wonder whether
A friend in need's a friend indeed,
A friend with weed is better,
A friend with breast and all the rest,
A friend who's dressed in leather,
or
A friend in need's a friend indeed,
A friend who bleeds is better,
My friend confessed she passed the test,
And we will never sever,
is better, and whether i should swap quotes with lydia long.... guys? please give comments and insults.

Yo! Wailiong DUDE! Choose a NAME!!!! As for Cynthia, I was thinking Sinthia, but that was wrong, and sounded... hindu or something.
Hmz... good premise. Keep writing! Can I suggest something? Write something to "inspire" waiwai, and then when it's done, he tries to draw, and when that's done, you just rework the script a little. troublesome, but that way nobody really forces anybody. And remember, all movies come with a script first, this isn't write-a-story-based-on-random-pictures you know. Or maybe when you're writing in prose, use little brackets to try and flesh out the scene a little, and then the final print, reader doesnt read it.
Continuation in story? Pete? I would think you had something in mind right? Just go right ahead. seriously. nobody really expects that much from us yet. YET. ONE DAY WE WILL RULE THE WORLD, WITH RUTHLESS AGRESSION! And free cheese.
So we don't use chapter? Let's just see how it flows ok?
Fires cool.. just hope we won't have the template don't load thing anymore.
Ok, back to working in PAGE.... GAHHHHH!!!!!

Cynthia? can lah... since she's Wailiong's creation (plus he seems to be as enamoured with her as I am with Lydia)... he might want to have the last say in deciding her name.
"Ruthless aggression" works for Josh, though thanks to Vince McMahon, it has replaced "What?" as the official "phrase to avoid".
Thanks for reminding us about what Joshua really is. It also reminds me that sometimes, we turn into the monsters we claim we hunt. Good premise for new chapter.
Continuation in story? Pressure. Perhaps I can see how Alvin plans to fit the story against the pic? That way I can decide the length of my sentences. (If you haven't realised, this is just me tai chiing the responsibility to Chong until later.) And take out the words "Chapter One". I hardly think it deserves the label "Chapter"
P.S. This will hopefully be the last time I change the blog template. It was so basic I practically had to trial and error everything to get it to look like this. But if the fires don't sit well with you, then hokay! =P

if you actually wanna colour every single pic we're posting up on the web"comic", you must be insane in the membrane. it's nearing the "anyhow-set" deadline, which is Aug 10, how are you guys coming along? ready to rush headlong into the venture? or wait till another month?
I have lots of anime in vcd. Didn't i lend you some? long ago?
and the bloody server's up. whoop de friggin do. STAY UP!!! what do they need? Viagra?
colouring for the evil insane girl i goot! cept the background. I say we call her Cynthia. No surname, just plain Cynthia? Can? If so, I can churn up a pic for the web right now.
Rastafarian is goot! and looks like a very garou font.
erm... site is coming i little slower now, but then again, i'm working on the next bit, which is the reviews page.

Gee. He didn't spell Galliard properly... and it looks like he's power-playing these two characters... heh.
Lupus Galliard Child of Gaia? (erm... 4 Rage, 5 Gnosis, 6 Willpower)
Homid Ragabash Stargazer? (Kailindo +all the pretty Homid Ragabash gifts.... bah)
If I were a Storyteller, I wouldn't allow these characters... not unless he had DAMN good back-stories for them.

Met Lettice last night... definitely not the same girl I knew in JC... would hardly consider her to be the goth girl pictured below. Ah well, how people change.
She's a lot more demure now (never thought it possible), and though she still dresses very tomboyish... there's a lot more feminity in her...
